Using This Guide

An at-sea electronic monitoring (EM) system produces a lot of data; time-stamped sensor records, video footage, and GPS cruise-track coordinates all illustrate aspects of a vessel’s fishing activity at sea, but summarizing this data can be a challenge. That’s why Archipelago created the FishVue Interpret™ data review and analysis software.

FishVue Interpret is available in two versions: FishVue Interpret Pro™ and FishVue Interpret Lite™. FishVue Interpret Pro provides the professional reviewer with a complete range of reviewing and reporting functionality, while FishVue Interpret Lite offers a fast and convenient data viewer for fisheries officers, program managers, field technicians, scientists, and researchers.

This user guide applies to both FishVue Interpret Lite and FishVue Interpret Pro, although some features (for example those described in Chapter 3 “Working with Annotations”) apply only to FishVue Interpret Pro. Sections that apply only to FishVue Interpret Pro are labeled: “This feature is not supported in FishVue Interpret Lite.” All other content applies to both versions.
