Confirmation of Unit Receiving Power

The LIME unit will beep 5 times when connected to a power source. While connected, the small red LED light will flash. If the unit is not receiving power, the red LED light will be off. If there red LED light is solid, that means there is a problem.

The unit may get unstable power, either through a bad contact in the wiring or through the device connector not being inserted all the way, and this will prevent the unit from receiving power.

If there is beeping from the unit, it is receiving power. It may take a couple minutes for the device to transmit its first messages, so wait for 5-10 minutes after the beeping before removing power to the unit.

For troubleshooting:
  • Send a picture of the Lime System installed including the serial number and the black connector
  • Confirm that the installation follows the wiring diagram found here.
  • Send a picture of the voltage reading measured between the 3-pin orange connectors. This should read approximately 12V – 14V.
  • Try removing the black connector and plug it back in. Check that the black connector is securely seated in the unit and that the red and black wires are pushed all the way in.

Data transmission can be checked using the Digital Matter website.
