EMR 5.2.8

Background

When we introduced our current Vivotek camera models (FD9380 and FD9388), we discovered an issue that prevented access to the camera configuration interface whenever a password was set. As a result, users were unable to flip, mirror, rotate, or adjust other camera settings because the cameras would not initialize.

This issue has been resolved in the latest version of the v5 systems EMR software (version 5.2.8). We strongly recommend updating all v5 systems to EMR 5.2.8_20241126 at your earliest convenience.

Items to Note

  1. Open/Close the Home Screen

    • As with previous EMR versions, when you add a new camera, you may need to open and close the Home Screen twice to initialize the camera for the first time.
    • Once the camera has initialized, this extra step will no longer be necessary.
  2. Delayed Initialization

    • These camera models take longer to initialize compared to previous models.
    • Depending on the number of cameras being added, the initialization process can take up to 3.5 minutes. Please be patient.
  3. V5 and Vantage Ready

    • Cameras shipped from Victoria on or after December 10th come pre-configured to work with either the updated v5 system or the Vantage system.
    • Cameras received before December 10th must have a password set and their configuration updated to be used with Vantage.
    • Cameras received before December 10th that are intended for v5 will now work without any changes, as long as your EMR is updated to the latest version.
